I went out to find a cake yesterday but didn't really see what I was looking for. Keith was so excited, he wanted to make her cake himself. I had pictured in my mind a beautiful smooth fondant cake, (an "ace of cake" creation), but when his came out all crooked and lumpy I have to admit, I was really annoyed and ready to make a new one this morning.
Well since he already ruined it, he decided to play with the shape and design... I have to admit, I loved the cake and it came out so much better than I had dreamed. While he decorated the cake, I decorated all the cupcakes. All this work, for a party we weren't even having, but we had plenty of cupcakes just in case family members happen to stop by the house.
